Agitated Thin Film Dryer (ATFD)

Our Agitated Thin Film Dryer (ATFD) pilot plant facility is available for taking trials at your plant on hire basis. Feed in the form of a slurry (range from 30 to 50% w/w) or a solution is converted into a thin film which is agitated by a rotor on top of a dryer. We get dry powder at the bottom of the dryer depending upon the nature of the feed. The pilot unit is skid-mounted unit consisting of feeding arrangement, external condenser & receivers for distillate & concentrate.

Agitated Thin Film Evaporator (ATFE)

See our Agitated Thin Film Evaporator (ATFE) at work before you place an order. You can use this pilot plant to take trials at your plant by hiring the set-up. It is also called a ‘Wiped film evaporator’. The feed passes through the distributor plate on an internally-heated wall. A thin film gets agitated by a high-speed rotor. Vapour generated in this process flows counter-currently & passes through the entrainment separator. The pilot unit is a skid-mounted unit consisting of feeding arrangement, pre-heater, flash separator, external condenser & receivers for concentrate & residue.

Want to see our Single Stage SPDU at work before buying one? Use our pilot plant by hiring it on a rental basis. With intention to generate scalable data and results during the pilot tests (with small sample quantities) to enable a scale up to industrial systems for later applications.
